One of the many good things about managing several Facebook Pages on Maui is that is that I get to read and enjoy the comments of people from all over the world who love Maui. “Lucky We Live Hawaii” or “Lucky We Live Maui” is a phrase often said by us locals. For those of us who lives here, truly we are lucky, or as I would prefer to call it, “blessed”.
Yesterday I discovered this video on Maui created by Eve. After watching it, and feeling in awe of the beauty of Maui captured on this film, I thought I should share them with you. I know you’d enjoy it.
- To all of you who are dreaming of visiting Maui someday, keep dreaming, then make it happen.
- To all of you who are wanting to move to Maui, make the plan, gather the resources, and do it.
- To all of you who can’t move here but love visiting year after year, we are always happy to have you back.

This was an incredible video. It brought tears to my eyes. One of the things I love most about Maui is they way of life. The caring for people and ones surroundings.
Just a reminder of the beauty we see everyday and the amazing playground God created for us. I will never take it for granted and like you, feel blessed to be living here, experiencing the wonder. My favorite thing is getting to see the ocean everyday and never getting tired of it.
Wonderful post and video Liza! I catch myself saying “I’m so lucky to live here” often. Especially on my commute into town. I love watching the surfers, kiteboarders, and wind surfers play at Ho’okipa. And, west Maui makes such a beautiful back drop!
