Wailuku celebrates Wailuku First Friday festivities on June 4, with the 2nd break dancing exhibition and show. Presented by Request Music everyone will enjoy the high energy, smooth moves and music on Market Street with HNU Energy lighting the show by powering up the grid. The monthly street party starts at 5:30 pm with the streets closed to local traffic at 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm  from Main to Vineyard.

The Awakening live band will perform with Wailuku’s Sassy Elegance Fashion Show to be held at the Wailuku Banyan Tree Park. The music continues with Da Kava Boys performing at David Sandell store off Main Street. The Iao Theater and Maui on Stage presents a free movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High at 7:30 pm.

Check out Maui’s Phil Sabado Wailuku art studio at 47 Market Street the entrance is from the Municipal parking lot. Also celebrating their new office is the American Red Cross! Wailuku is growing!

EAT in Wailuku with Wailuku restaurants, Gianottos Pizza; Main Street Bistro, Cafe O Lei, Saeng Thai, Maui Bake Shop, Kings BBQ and Uptown Chevron quick food and gas, check them out while at Wailuku First Friday. At 8:00 pm Gallerie Ha Ha holds its monthly Aloha Poetry Slam with $20 first prize. This event is growing in popularity with kids and adults alike!

Wailuku First Friday is a monthly street party with local artisans, jewelry and food of local flavor. Wailuku town has a funky charm with friendly small town warmth and welcomes residents and visitors alike. The event is sponsored by the Hawaii Tourism Authority, County of Maui, Maui Thing, Tri-Isle RC&D, Inc.; Kamaaina Properties, Inc.; KPOA 93.5 FM; First Hawaiian Bank, Sae Design, Wailuku Community Association and Connec, LLC.
