The Aloha State is proud to be represented in Twestival 2009! Honolulu organizers had done an amazing job organizing this event in just a few weeks. Kudos to everyone involved in making it possible for the Aloha State to be represented on this worldwide event for charity. Here are some of the basic information or details on the Honolulu Twestival:
- Who Can Attend: Anyone interested in getting together with friends for pupus, drinks, and music, all for a good cause! But certainly all Twitter users hoping to use social media to bring social change.
- When: Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. pau hana party!
- Where: Oceans 808 at Restaurant Row (former Ocean Club space), 500 Ala Moana Blvd. [Map]
I was initially going to fly to Oahu to attend this special event. I was ready to buy my plane ticket yesterday when some unexpected events happened and issues came up which unabled me to fly over tomorrow (I’m car-less starting today, hubby had a last minute meeting scheduled that day (told about it yesterday) with same date and time so no one to take care of kids and drive me to the airport, etc.). So in lieu of me flying over, I purchased five (5) tickets to be given away so that five Honolulu residents who would like to go to this event can go. Please leave a comment here if you are interested on the free ticket or DM me at Twitter (@amauiblog). I will need your e-mail address to forward the e-ticket.
Please don’t send me a ticket. I just wanted say thank you for your generosity! Sorry you can’t make it.
I really am sad I can’t make it because I was looking forward to meeting many HI tweeters there. Thank you for your kind comment 🙂
Hi! I’d love a ticket so I can convince a non-Twitter friend to go with me! 🙂
yes, you got it! 🙂
@mochichick – yes, we’ll send you one ticket to bring your friend. I still am waiting for the e-mail confirmation. I’ll leave a message on @hitwestival confirming you got one ticket from me.
Hi Liza:
I would like a ticket, too, for a POOR young colleague who is new to twitter. If you have?
Mahalo, sweetie!

yes lavagirl – will definitely have one for her. 5 tickets are listed for A Maui Blog, one can go to her.
I sure wish someone would offer up something like this on the Big Island.
That is so kind of you!

Thanks Damon. The idea of “providing clean water” for the 3rd world country touches my heart because I had seen the lack of clean water that they were talking about. I am just so glad the organizers had put so much effort and passion into this cause.
