ALOHA FRIDAY QUESTION AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST
This morning I went to visit Maui Hill resort to have a first hand look and experience of this resort and timeshare. I was requested by Redweek to review this particular condo called Maui Lea which is part of Maui Hill Timeshare Resort. Before I agreed, I told them that I would have to check it our first. I only would publish a review on A Maui Blog if I am very satisfied with the place or product. Well, Maui Hill exceeded my expectations. I would say it’s one of the best kept secrets on Maui as far as lodging and accommodation is concern. I really didn’t know much about it until after I investigated it and researched on it as part of my review process. While there, I remembered that one of our close friends from Connecticut stayed there before and were very pleased with it. They said it’s a great place to stay.
By now you all know that I am not a professional reviewer. I am a blogging, mama talking story about da kines on Maui, so let me tell you about Maui Hill my way.
There’s a reason why it’s called Maui Hill. It’s built on top of a hill. The view is excellent! Of course it will depend on which unit you are in so check out with the person you are making reservations to about the view.
The place is very close to some of the most beautiful beaches on Maui (and the world). It’s walking distance to many of the beautiful beaches on South Maui. These beaches are famous for their beautiful maui sunsets, like the Kamaole beach and Keawakapu beach. It is also close (some walking distance) to many dining places and shopping stores. It’s very convenient but it’s also a “secluded” place. It is a win win situation.
The staff are polite and helpful. The manager, Mr. Dennis Costa, is on top of it. While I was waiting in the office to talk to a receptionist checking out a guest, I saw him came out of his office and personally said good bye to the guests. After that, he noticed me waiting and he asked if he can help me, and he did. After a few minutes of introduction and talking story, he called one of the workers to accompany me to one of the units so I can look at it.
The rooms are clean and spacious. More about the room details on Redweek. The timeshares were recently renovated I was told. Ok , the kitchen area is small and the refrigerator is not the newest model around (as you can see in the photo) but hey, you are not here on Maui to cook in the kitchen. I bet you wouldn’t mind because you would be out and about most of the time anyway – enjoying the beauty of Maui. Overall the units are in good condition.
There is a swimming pool in the facility. There is a washer dryer in the unit. What else do you want to know about it? If you have any questions, please write it on the comment section of this post and I will reply there too. Or you may visit Redweek’s website for more information or for reservation. Just a note to those of you who may be inclined to Google Maui Hill – if the search comes up with a page for Aston Maui Hill – that is the resort part of the property. If the Google result is Maui Lea at Maui Hill, that is the timeshare part of it, It’s in the same facility. It’s all good.
By the way, I uploaded some photos on Facebook too. Check it out.
ALOHA FRIDAY QUESTION: When buying a house or renting a place, and you are given a chance to choose – which view would you choose? Ocean View or Mountain View? Hmmm, hard to decide. I like them both. If really pressed, I’d say “ocean view”. Waht about you?
