Have you been to a Pineapple Farm Tour before? If not, make it a goal to have a tour with the Maui Pineapple Tour, or at least read this blog post, watch the videos embedded here and listen to the podcast (link below). It’s a fun educational experience. For those who had done it before, especially here on Maui, where you get to tour the Maui Gold Pineapple Plantation, you know how delightful the tour is, right?
It was the week of my birthday when we went to tour the farm. I actually had been wanting to do this (Maui Pineapple Tour) but I never did … not until my friend Leslie from The Aloha 360 invited me to join her. It was a gift, especially to Auntie Pineapple. Here are more photos from our tour. You’d see us wearing our goofy pineapple sunglasses, eating the fresh pineapple popsicle (so sweet! picked as we go)) and also holding the peduncle (our new favorite word):
Auntie Pineapple? Well, there’s a story behind that. You will hear on the Podcast at The Aloha 360 how Auntie Pineapple was born and what she does. You can follow @auntypineapple on Instagram too. But for now, let’s talk story about the Maui Pineapple Tour. As I said earlier, it was delightful! No wonder they had been getting great reviews, and they actually have grown from having only one bus that goes out daily, to now two busses. Check out this video from one of the tours. This garnered about 3 million views on Facebook!:
The Maui Gold Pineapple Plantation is nestled in the tiny town of Hali’imaile in Maui’s lush upcountry. The weather was great throughout our tour: sunny with light trade winds. The bi-coastal coastal from the farm is marvelous. While our bus is going around the farm we enjoyed listening to our tour guide sharing facts about Pineapples, Maui Gold Pineapples, and Maui Gold Pineapple Company, while the “Pineapple Princess song plays in the background 🙂
