Did you notice the word SNAP on the title? Can you see where this post is going? If you thought or said SNAP CHAT, you guessed it right! A Maui Blog is now on Snap Chat … as yours truly, username: lizamaui
Does that mean I am now going to stop blogging? Of course not! Snap Chat actually flared up my love of blogging. It revived my love of telling stories (or “talking story” as we call it here in Hawaii). It is a different platform but truly a good platform for sharing photos and messages via our mobile device. I think snapchat and blog can compliment each other. Snaps are a bit more personal and informal (like the photo above – which I notice has a grammatical error by accident), more casual, and many times silliness that makes us laugh (the filters … oh the filters!)
I will also be snapping beautiful Maui Sunset, rainbows, beaches, plumerias, hibiscus and the likes. It will be in stories at Snap Chat which only stays 24 hours. I am keeping the blog for a journal that stays forever …
Have you been thinking about joining snapchat but haven’t done so yet because you first downloaded it you didn’t know what to do with it? Well, let me share with you a YouTube video tutorial where I learned how to use Snap Chat. It’s the Snap 101 for Beginners
OK, that’s all for now. I am planning to write a blog post on “Pau Hana” and “Happy Hour” on Maui so stay tuned 🙂 In the meantime, I thought I’d add photos of two of the most popular flowers here on Maui just for you:
Hehe! Is this your subtle way to convert one more #mwlol gal? 😉
yes it is 🙂
Hey Liza,
Like the blog post! I’ve been using snapchat since it came out couple years ago, just for casual uploads and to chat with friends. Now I use it for business too! it’s a great tool to keep your clients and prospects engaged in the projects and things that excite them!
