In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So Kalani thought that on Fridays she would take it easy on posting, too. On her blog she’ll ask a simple question for us to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. Then if we would like to participate, we can do the same.
I am participating this week and my question is: What books or activities can you recommend this summer vacation? School year 2008-2008 ends next week and so I need to get organized. I need your help. You may recommend one or many. It’s all up to you. Thank you.

The kids could journal there summer. It gets (or keeps) them interested in writing, and then they’ll have a reminder of what they did all summer!

Books for you or for your kids? lol
If it’s for you I’d suggest The No. 1 Ladies Detective agency by Alexander McCall Smith. Great light summer reading. 🙂
The library normally has good reading programs during the summer 🙂
I went to the bookstore & got some homework books for both kids for the summer plus daughter’s teacher had sent home some stuff as well. Plus we have a pool so we like to swim a lot.
