Here a video from last year (2007)

This women’s competition is the final World Championship Tour event on the 2008 ASP World Tour and will crown the 2008 women’s world and Vans Triple Crown champions.

Staged at Maui’s Honolua Bay, on the north-western tip of Maui, this is the only outer-island event of the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing. Honolua is an incredible, peeling right-hander that winds off over a rocky reef/point, offering considerable tube-riding potential as well as multiple maneuvers. Because the break requires a large swell just to get started, it rarely gets stormy and unrideable – either too small to surf, or absolutely perfect if a solid swell is running. The headland above offers excellent spectator viewing and is undeveloped and picturesque.

Defending champion:
Stephanie Gilmore (Australia)
